Katie Dean's line of body butters, lotions and scrubs smell heavenly and don't feel heavy. This is my go to gift for teachers, VT's and friendlies this Holiday. Everyone wants to smell good, right?

I am a big fan of reusing, and Blue Door speaks my language. I know that this amazing locker door magnet board is on my list.

Something quirky, check! I am pretty sure this is the only form of Taxidermy that I approve of. The entire line from Squackdoodle would look fabulous in a child's room... or in my living room.

The best gifts for a new mama or a mama-to-be are both practical and stylish. Nothing defines those two better than an oil cloth mess mat from Elsa Bags. The gold stripe is my personal favorite

If the person on your list is more right brained than left perhaps an original painting by Colett Yarro. If you aren't in the market for original art, her shadow boxes are to die for.

Lastly, I bought one of Adri Apparel's travel bags at the last Bijou Market and have used it almost everyday since. For that impossible to please person on your list, this is a must have.

First on the gift line-up, for all my Provo Natives that love this town as much as I, this beautiful watercolor by Ash Mae of the Provo Tabernacle before it's devastating fire. Also, how neat that its in the process of being converted to the new Provo LDS Temple? Incredible.

For all my friends, okay okay, and for myself too, with these buns in the oven, have got to have a few of these in a few different colors, wouldn't you say. Its still cold in March when this baby is due, right?

JUST IN TIME for my holiday decorating (gee, this is such a selfish gift guide) I need this hanging from my white fireplace. Absolutely. Annily Green always nails it.

Id love for Dash and baby boy #2 to both run around playing pretend with these wooden cameras by TWIG while their mama does her job.

and for EVERYONE else I know and love, I wouldnt be Nicole if I didnt gift them Coconut bread from Lisa's Kitchen. Have you tried it? It will blow your socks off.

Hopefully you've been checking out our vendor line-up posts each day. We've tried to give you only a little taste to excite you and we encourage you to visit their shops to see more!

As founders of Bijou Market, we are giddy each market walking down the aisles of vendors and it seems each hour that passes our little piles to buy behind the check-out get bigger and bigger!

So, before the market mayhem begins next week, here are our Bijou Market shopping guides. What we're excited to buy for ourselves and everyone else on our lists.

First up, Emily Frame:

I can usually find something for just about everyone on my Christmas shopping list at Bijou.

If I am truly stumped, AnneMade Jams always come to the rescue! For my boys (my husband and two sons), I can never have enough hand-knit goodness from Mutze by Ashley. For gift swaps with friends or siblings Dejavu Old & New always has something that fits perfectly. Bijou never has a shortage on darling accessories for girls, and even though I don't have any yet, my nieces would look darling in

any of the pieces by A Pinch of Peach or Wendy & Peter.

Another gift that is as versatile as it is fun are the vintage lunch trays from Blue Door. We sold hundreds of these last market, and for good reason. They have so many purposes, anyone would love a set. Whether it be to make lunch more fun for my 20 month old, or to give some order to my junk drawer (a Christmas present for my husband no doubt) the possibilities are endless.

Whenever we have guests at our house we always get so many compliments on all our framed prints. Every single one came from a vendor at Bijou Market! I love adding to the collection each season!

These Fork/Knife/Spoon prints by Twig would be so great framed side by side in any kitchen, but particularly mine.

and you can't never have too many watercolors by AshMae. (I've got 4 so far!)

I'm not going to lie, by the time we open for business each market, I feel pretty entitled to spoiling myself. The hard work and energy put in by each person involved with the market is almost tangible, and I can't help but support our amazing vendors! And if that support ends up being a little something for me, so be it!

This year those little somethings are taking shape in the form of a Lulu wrap for my 3 month old and a buttery soft leather bag from Annilygreen.

Twig is just about to launch The Starving Artists Marketplace. Think of The Starving Artists Marketplace as an online shop where established artists like yourself can sell your used equipment and supplies (cameras, sewing machines, etc.) to up and coming artists trying to get their start. This way you, and they, won't need to shuffle through ads selling old Halloween candy or dates with hot young singles.

We all know buying new equipment can be expensive, and may have even caused you to miss a meal or two. This is a wonderful opportunity to sale the equipment you're not using anymore, make a little money, and help young artists get to where you are now. The FLEA. is tomorrow evening and we hope you are ready to sell and shop your hearts out.
We've had several similar questions so here is a quick update of the answers just in case more of you are wondering...

1. Anyone can sell at the FLEA. According to our contacts the majority of attendees will be our peers, women ages 15-40.

2. You are welcome to bring your own personal goods, this means your used clothing, accessories, home decor, or clothing from your family members. It is not an extension of Bijou Market, so don't bring your handmade goods or crafts to sell.

3. If you are planning on selling, set up is at 6:30 pm so you have time to get a spot before shopping begins at 7 pm. Bring a table or blanket to set your stuff on!

4. You do not have to sell to come! But, bring cash, ones and fives always come in handy!

What is THE FLEA.?

THE FLEA. is a huge buy, sell, and trade event held at the beginning of each season. It's an awesome opportunity to bring the stuff you need to get rid of and walk away with all new (to you) stuff

We held our first ever FLEA. a few months ago and it was huge hit! Stylish women of all shapes and sizes brought all the stuff that they've grown tired of ready to swap. We each walked away with amazing finds for ourselves, our kids, and our homes at thrift store or yard sale prices and were able to get rid of some stuff and make a few dollars as well. Any items you don't end up selling we will be taking a trailer of donations to the Women and Children in Crisis Center or D.I. (depending on what WCIC's needs are.)

Summers in Utah really cannot be beat. The canyons and rivers are filled to the brim with runners, bikers, rafters, climbers and longboarders. Provo throws the best Independence Day celebration in the country, and now you can add the Rooftop Concert Series to the list.

In it's second season, they're opening up with a bang! Fictionist will be playing the first show of the series on May 6th. Thanks to you they are now in the top 4 for the Rolling Stone cover contest.

So, what we're saying is, this might be your last chance to see them intimately

Jacob's Cove (the local farm and gardens that supply restaurants like Communal and Pizzeria 712)

has teamed up with awesome chefs, Raw Melissa and Jen from Delightful Delicacies and have a created a cooking class!

This class is an awesome way to see locally grown and ethically raised ingredients come together in a two hour class that will produce a multiple course meal.

We had the opportunity to attend their "Brunch" class and please listen to this menu:

Fruit Salad with Honey, Lemon & Basil

Bijou Market April 2011 was a smash success! Our expecatations are always being exceeded and we are truly humbled and thrilled to have such a supportive community surrounding us.

We owe huge thanks to ALL our amazing vendors. We heard many times and agree full-heartedly that this was Bijou Market's best show to date. This would not be possible without the countless hours and thoughtful creativity of our vendors. Every vendor showed their absolute best and everyone was truly impressed and inspired!

A couple times a year they travel to Bali, shopping from village to village, to bring us brilliant, bright jewelry and accessories, and helping the people of Bali be self sufficient by bringing their handmade goods to the states.
